My Mom's Birthday

So today is my mom's birthday, since I am a loving daughter I won't post how old she is. Haha, anyway I've already knitted her a scarf and am planning on knitting her something for Christmas ;] So my family decided to do the whole buy presents thing. But I couldn't sleep tonight so in my crazed sleep deprived mind I decided I wanted to knit her a heart.

And then it all went down hill from there.

There were no simple easy patterns I could find fast enough (short attention span), so I settled on a random one from the internet. I didn't know how to do half of what it wanted me to do. So then I tried for the humps, to use the whole turning thing like for the ruffle scarf. FAIL. But alas my determined mind would not let me be bested by a shape. So I knitted the two humps, sewed them on and you know what for a second I thought it looked okay.

Then I thought it needed more, so I tried to sew mom into it, and after that frustrating half hour I thought I should also add a bored. (That was the longest sentence ever) So now I am finished and think this may be the stupidest idea I have had while knitting. So I will post pictures :D

And then this is the scary looking back.

So I guess all in all it is not too horrible, but I still wished I could have made something more amazing.
