Blocking and Decorating

So after blocking my lace cowl and loving that whole experience... or not. I some how decided it would be a great idea to go back and block a few things that I never did block. So first up on that list was my hand-spun cowl. It was knit from my first hand spun and it was before I learned how to do an elastic bind-off so one side is super tight while the other side is loose. I am hoping that blocking it out might help it a little bit.

So now I am back to having to shift my blocking square around the room because you know, I love doing that. On a more fun note I decorated my dorm door and window today. My roommate kept telling me it was too soon to put up my Halloween things but I decided since it is almost October now would be a great time.

Honestly I am a little nervous that someone might walk by and just pull my little pumpkins and acorns off the door but I am trying to believe the best in all people. We will see how that goes. I am going home this weekend for the first time and I am so so excited. I can't wait to shower without shoes on, sleep in my own bed, and eat real people food. That is for now, I hope you guys have a great weekend!

  1. Yes! Showering without shoes on is the best! I hope you have a great time going home, it is always a nice little break. I love your decorations, they are definitely festive! I hope that the cowl blocks out well, it is just too special.
