So this is completely not knitting related but my other passion is probably nail art. I have way too much nail polish for an 18 year old girl (woman?) and I seriously change my color more often then most people change their sheets. (For me that's a lot, is that normal?) And I have recently been starting to do different and fun things inspired by the world around me and I thought I would share one with you.
First you will need a base/top coat (I use Sally Hansen Diamond Shine), bright blue nail polish (Sally Hansen's The Sky is The Limit), white nail polish (Insta-Dry White), white glitter polish (Sally Hansen Diamond), and a make-up sponge.
First paint on your base coat, let it dry. Between each layer it is super important to let it completely dry, if you start the next step to soon you could end up with a clumpy bubbly mess. Next apply an even coat of your bright blue, this layer doesn't have to be completely perfect because you are going to sponge over it later. Okay once that is dry take your make-up sponge and coat a section liberly with the white. Now you can try and be clean or you can accept the mess during this next part. If you get nail polish on your finger have no fear the next time you shower it will scrub off.
Dab the sponge on your nail once or twice or eighty million times. It is up to you how thick you want the white splotch to be. That will only take a second to dry, then cover it with the glittery polish. You can leave this step off but I love how the glitter makes my nails look more real almost. Finish it off with your top coat and TADA you have gorgeous nails that look like the sky on a bright summer day!

Zoey
