I Found Heaven.

My dad's friend Mignon who is the woman that taught me to knit, and I went yarn store searching this past Sunday. Out of 4 possible stores only one of them was either A) open or B) worth the time it took. Google maps really needs an update. The store was in Mankato, Mn named Mary Lu's Yarn and Ewe, the name already screams cuteness. I walked in and wanted to fiant, it was gorgeous. You see I live in a small town and the only place to buy yarn is hobby lobby so this was truly yarn heaven. The best part was right in front of me was a table with Flounce yarn. The yarn I had just seen online and was dying to have.

60 dollars later I was wondering what had possessed me in that store. I bought 4 skeins of yarn and a snazzy new pair of knitting needles. The yarn I did buy was 2 balls of flounce (so cute!), and skein of Aracania Aysen in this gorgeous pink color, and a ball of Art Yarn's Broadway yarn (which I have no idea what to do with).

I have finished knitting the first ball of flounce and completely love it. I wore it to school and actually had people asking me where I bought it. I will try and remember to get pictures of the other yarns soon. For now look at my pretty new scarf :D

P.S. This knitting addiction is rather expensive for a high school kid.

P.P.S. I really should finish that second elephant...

  1. Looks so good! My knitting addiction has cost me a lot of money too... but it has given me sanity :) So I think it's worth it!
