Day Two

So I honestly almost forgot to do this, today has just been one of those days. I hope you all are having a great week so far.

I am thankful for friendship, new and old.

Madison and I have been friends for over eight years now which seems crazy  because honestly what friends survive middle school. But some how it happened and honestly I can't imagine how I would have gotten through everything without her. We go to different colleges now but we are still great friends.

I also am extremely thankful for new friendships! Coming to college is scary but I ended up on a floor with some amazing girls and they have made the whole change so much easier. You don't think a lot about how amazing it is that we all can just click with each other until you have to. I am thankful for having friends and being able to make new ones.

Day One of Thankfulness

So I got this idea from a bog I follow The Knitting Goddess With Her Cat. She normally does 14 days of thankfulness but I never log on to see it. So I am going to do 9 days of thankfulness leading up to Thanksgiving.

One of the things I am most grateful for is my two amazing siblings. My brother is 11 years older then me and I have always known that I can count on him for anything. It was hard when he graduated and went to college but even harder when he moved out to L.A.  Even though we talk it is a struggle only getting to see him once or twice a year. This will be a good year because he has come home three times. But even though he is so far away I know that if I really needed him he would be there for me. It's what older brothers are there for.

Then of course there is my sister Tatum, being two years apart always made things so much different. When we were younger we would fight a lot and it admitedly ended in terars more often then not. But through everything we have gotten so close, she is one of my best friends. I honestly do not know what I would do without her, when it comes to life sometimes it feels like she is the only one that gets it.

I am so blessed to have the two amazing siblings I have and I would not change them for the world. What are you guys most thankful for?

Where Does The Time Go?

I know I once again have fallen of the earth, and to be honest I wish I could. (I want to take like eight million naps right now) I have gotten very little done on the knitting and spinning front due to some fun adventures. Last weekend my choir went to Chicago to compete and we wont everything we could and slept very little.

sears tower!
Then this weekend I had prom! It is kind of crazy to think I only have twenty some days of high school left. I feel like there is still so much to do. My prom group was so fun, we were the single ladies! I actually won stuff at post prom which is always exciting.

Sorry so spam you guys with so many non-knitting pictures, it is just hard to believe it is almost over. Now I am sitting in my room in sweats too tired to move staring at my yarn willing it to knit itself. Hope you guys are all having wonderful weekends!

Happy Easter!

I will start blogging and knitting more this coming week for now I thought I would share with you some of my Easter moments this past weekend.

We all dyed Easter eggs, which at my family always starts out cool and crazy and in the end we just plop them in colors. I think we get a little over ambitious when it comes to how many eggs we can dye. We go the weirdest monster egg kit and the sister made a packers egg.

Easter egg hunting was a ton of fun, and it was nice enough out that the Easter bunny hid the eggs outside to this year. And as always somewhere out there in the yard there is still one lonely egg that no one could find!

Later we all went out to feed geese and ended up playing impromtu frisbee in the backyard! It was so much fun and I hope you all had an amazing Easter! God bless!

Tweets, Geeks, and Thinks.

I realized I have been blogging for about two months and have posted very little actually about me. I have no decided that I am going to post three times a week. (Or try, we will see how long this lasts) I have no idea if this will make me write more, less or just ramble about stupid things. Which I am pretty sure if anyone out there even reads my blogs already thinks I do.

Ignoring the point I am pretty sure I have two readers one of which is my best friend so I am not sure if she counts. (Love you Liz) I am going to ramble about life. So my play is over this weekend, our first show is Thursday, our last on Sunday. I am partly excited to be done but I am also going to miss getting to spend time with these amazing dorky people. Nanowrimo also started this past week. This is my fourth year doing it and hopefully my third year winning it. I am writing about a superhero Harry Potter spoof, so far I am already behind and confused as to the point of my story.

Finally! I have pictures of those adorable birds I was talking about. If anyone reading my blog is anything like me, you just scroll down the page looking at pictures. So here you go!

There Really Are Some Amazing People Out There

So the birthday was a success, my mother loved the heart I made her. It was an amazing day all in all. Last night while my mother was asleep I completely decorated the down stairs. This is her last birthday in this house before we move so I just had to make it amazing. Though the decorating was fun my favorite part was writing out 50 reasons why I love her on all these note cards for her to find in the house. My mom is my best friend in the whole world and I am so glad I could help make her day special.

This amazing day was made even more amazing when I got a surprise message on Ralvery! A woman I have never met or talked to before praised what I have accomplished since I started knitting and wanted to let me know that she would love to send me some of her yarn, stitch markers, and even some of her needles. As a new knitter I don't have a lot of that stuff, I really am buying yarn project by project at this time. And since the only specialty yarn store closed down around here I am stuck only with Hobby Lobby. So the fact this woman who does not even know me is willing to do this for me just blew my mind. I guess it really does prove that there are people out there who really care.

Today has just been phenomenal! Happy Birthday Mom, I love you!

I Love My Friend Liz

I made this really long blog post about friends, deleted it, and summed it up in the title.
