Life is a Whirlwind

My life as of late has been completely mind blowing. Between finals week and my life as a sorority girl has kept me on my toes, being a kitten mom is also something that takes up a surprisingly amount of time. One thing that I have found that calms me down is painting. I am not the best painter, far from it, but it is something that calms down the fast pace of my time.

The above canvas is a work I spent probably way too much time on. Travel and seeing the world is something that truly inspires me. As well as constantly reminding myself that I have only seen such a small part of what the world has to offer. I love having this canvas hanging above my TV and seeing it the second I walk in my room.

I think it also show that you do not need to be a master painter to create a beautiful canvas. At the end of the day it is about what makes you happiest.

With love,
Zoey

Getting My Craft On

So other then homework and spinning I have been doing a ton of other crafts. My floor probably thinks I bleed paint which is a fair guess. I just love holidays and decorating for them! Though I finally have had to cut myself off when it comes to decorating.

So this is located in the hallway outside of my door. There is this huge ugly white wall and I just wanted to do something. My mom got me the sign for a dollar at target and then I cut all the bats out myself. I think it turned out really cute and only cost like three bucks!

This is also located in our hallway though I didn't make it. Some of the girls on my floor made it for my birthday, it is all the random stuff I say that they think is funny. I always get a laugh walking by it, though it fell down last night so that is why it is a little crumply.

These little guys are all hanging out above my bed. The three little blocks were just wooden blocks that I painted, Frankenstein if probably my favorite. Then there is the terracotta pot pumpkin which turned out pretty cute. Finally is my proudest moment, my Harry Potter pumpkin. I painted him on a fake pumpkin because I was not going to put in all that work just to have it rot. I will be putting him wherever I live every Halloween from now on.

These are my last decorations I promise. They are just super cute tissue paper pom poms the colors of candy corn. I will probably leave these up past Halloween because I really love how whimsical they look. And from where I sit at my desk they just look orange and white! That's it for now, next post will actually be about knitting promise.
